Meet Kaneda Kon and His Quirky Expressions

Every Sticker Broken Down Just for You

Let us look at the first row of these adorable yellow fox illustrations. The first sticker features our little friend throwing a swift, determined fist pump accompanied by a Japanese whooshing sound effect, shubbi. Next, he is leaping joyfully in the air saying arigatou gozaimasu, which translates to thank you very much. The third one captures him looking completely awestruck with a wide-open mouth, while the fourth shows a relaxed wave with a casual greeting of hei, meaning hey.

Moving to the second row, the fox does a comical, flat-faced faceplant with a plop sound effect, written as peshitt. Then comes a dramatically shocked expression with eyes wide open, followed by a tense, teeth-gritting pose expressing extreme nervousness. The row ends on a high note with a happy wave and a cheerful haai, which means yes or hi.

On the third row, the fox dashes forward in high spirits to a celebratory popping sound, written as chupann. Next is a smug, satisfied smirk that oozes self-confidence. This is contrasted by the third sticker, where he stands on his head looking utterly defeated alongside a gloomy sound effect, zuun. He quickly bounces back in the fourth one, walking with pure excitement, labeled wakku wakku.

The final row starts with a colorful blast as the fox blows a party horn to say omedetou, or congratulations. Next, we see him pouting and stomping off in a huff, sounding like punn. The highlight is the third sticker where he happily clutches a brown bag, declaring chokin ni mawasu, meaning he is putting his money into savings. Finally, he waves a warm goodbye saying dewa mata, or see you later.

A Perfect Collaboration of Banking and Art

This brilliant sticker set is a creative masterpiece brought to life by studio UG and the famous illustrator Nishimura Yuji, in partnership with PayPay Bank. By combining the signature loose, hand-drawn art style of Nishimura Yuji with the bank’s friendly financial image, they have created characters that make talking about money feel incredibly approachable. It is a fantastic example of how modern brands can use unique character design to build genuine connections with their community.
