Meet the Rebels of Los Ingobernables de Japon
The Unstoppable El Ingobernable: Tetsuya Naito
The top row features the charismatic leader Tetsuya Naito. First, he tips his cap with a smirk, saying Gracias! which is Spanish for thank you. Next, wearing a black tee, he gestures to calm down with Assen na yo, meaning do not rush. He then hypes the crowd with a mic yelling Los Ingobernables, followed by his iconic eye-opening pose shouting De! Ja! Pon! in vibrant purple tones.
The Cool and Collected: SANADA
Row two showcases SANADA with his signature blonde hair. He points down, declaring Ichiban suki desu, which translates to I like you the most. Next, a thumbs-up accompanies Ore ga kibou ni narimasu, meaning I will become your hope. He then crosses his arms in a sleek vest, admitting Kirai desu… demo yappari suki desu, meaning I hate you… but I actually like you, before scratching his head in confusion with Maichau na, which translates to I am troubled.
The Fiery Dragon: Shingo Takagi
Rows three and four feature the explosive Shingo Takagi. He gestures upward saying See you next time in English, points forward yelling Oi! Oi! as an aggressive hey, and touches his chin, teasing Jama suzo, meaning I am going to disturb you. He also claps wildly shouting Kitatatata! to signal here it comes, sits cross-legged saying Kansha kangeki ame arare to show extreme gratitude, and holds a microphone, stating Ijou da, meaning that is all.
The Ticking Time Bomb: Hiromu Takahashi
The colorful Hiromu Takahashi dominates rows four and five. He mimics cat whiskers, saying Wakatta nyari!, which translates to understood, meow. He then blows a kiss surrounded by hearts. In his multi-colored jacket, he spreads his arms screaming Motto motto! for more, more, pumps his fists to say Tanoshimoze~ to let us have fun, and promotes safety with Tearai ukai genki genki!, which means wash hands, gargle, stay energetic.
The Masked Luchador: BUSHI
Rounding out the set is the mysterious BUSHI. He points to his black mask, reminding us Mask hitsuyo dayo, meaning masks are necessary. In a silver mask, he bows, saying Jishuku shimasu, which translates to I am staying home. He also displays three mask options, asking Kite nani-iro kana? to ask what color he will wear, looks disappointed with Zannen datta naa, meaning too bad, and toasts with a beer, asking Kanpai shiyou ka to invite you for a toast.
