Meet Niku and Baku in the Office
Row One: Daily Meltdowns and Coffee Runs
First up on the top left, we have the lovable white dog Niku wearing a smart blue suit, happily sending a big red heart. The text reads 阿里嘎多, which is a phonetic Mandarin spelling of the Japanese word Arigato, meaning thank you. Next to him, the fluffy black dog Baku looks incredibly anxious in a striped business suit, sweating with the text 蘇咪媽謝, translating to Sumimasen, meaning excuse me or sorry.
Third in line, Niku is completely shocked, sweating profusely with his tongue sticking out. The text 哪尼 phonetically represents the Japanese Nani, which means what. Wrapping up the first row, Baku is frantically running to the rescue with a hot cup of coffee. The Chinese text reads 辛苦了 咖啡來了, translating to you have worked hard, here comes the coffee.
Row Two: Good Vibes and Retail Therapy
Starting the second row, a dapper calico cat flashes a thumbs-up while surrounded by tiny cat assistants. The text 蘇勾伊 represents the Japanese Sugoi, meaning amazing. Next, a stressed Baku stares blankly at a grey computer screen under heavy pressure. The text 叫外送吧 translates to let us order delivery, which is the ultimate salaryman coping mechanism.
Then, we see Niku excitedly holding up a blue JCB credit card, ready to spend. The text 刷起來 enthusiastically translates to swipe that card. Finally, the whole adorable gang gathers together with bright orange cheeks to celebrate, accompanied by the festive text 新年快樂, which means Happy New Year.
